Welcome to Serenity!

Experience speaks for itself. This is true in both marketing and human resources. As an experienced manager, event coordinator, and marketing team leader I am practised at crafting quality content for a diverse range of brands and originating successful strategies. As a university educated professional with a background in Psychology, Biology, and a certification in Natural Nutrition, I am especially passionate about creating copy for wellness-themed enterprises. I’m sure you’ll find everything your business needs on these pages.

I don’t believe in specialization. In fact, when it comes to marketing, I believe that hyper-specialization leads to myopic thinking in individuals and a lack of understanding and empathy within teams. I have experience in all aspects of brand promotion and management. From quality control in telesales calls to preparing printed material for trade shows, from social media messaging to front-line customer service, I believe that a true professional must have a passion for —and experience in— all aspects of marketing in order to ensure success.

Words aren’t everything. It might be surprising to hear that from a marketing executive, but it’s true and my experience has confirmed this belief. A responsible marketing professional does not stake her brand’s success solely on catchy fonts and creative sound bites. Simply pushing a message into the ether and crossing ones fingers might work, occasionally, but it doesn’t build concrete strategies that can be relied upon in the future. To use a metaphor, marketing that’s “all sizzle and no steak” does not lead to the most valuable asset in all of business: repeat customers.

I am not a “quick fix” consultant. To ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business, I take a holistic approach to marketing. I analyze not just the message but also the business practices, both front-line and behind the scenes, of an organization in order to provide the best possible solutions for the long-term. I work quickly and efficiently, but I also believe that a job done poorly isn’t really done at all.

Authenticity is key. In the world of marketing it is too easy to see only consumers and distributors, to hear only keywords and sound bites, to think only in demographics and percentages. It is far more difficult, but ultimately more rewarding (and profitable), to relate to customers as the unique, emotional beings that they are. To ensure an authentic approach to marketing I remain mindful at all times and engage in active listening with all parties concerned: customers, colleagues, supervisors, consultants —all.

Quality and authenticity inspire passion. A customer should feel good about a product or experience. This is particularly true for wellness-themed businesses. A passionate advocate for a product or experience is the most visible and valuable of all advertisements.

I look forward to bringing my passion to work for you.

Yours sincerely,

We were thrilled when Zahra took employment with Body Plus. To this day, I rely on her extensive knowledge and keen eye to keep me up-to-date on breaking information in the Naturopathic industry. What we appreciate most about working with Zahra over the years is her ability to cut through the wealth of information, simplify it, and deliver quick, concise information.
